Kate Sherrod is a poet, fictioneer, audio book narrator, and high school speech & debate coach living in the tiny (under 2000) town of Saratoga, WY. Her poetry and prose have appeared in numerous anthologies. She is the author of Suppertime Sonnets, a curated collection of poetry from her 2009-2010 challenge to write a Shakespearean sonnet every day by suppertime, and of Pulp Sonnets, an extensive collection of flash-length genre fiction in sonnet form.

Kate has several other projects under development, but she's keeping those under wraps for now. The year of 2016 taught her a thing or two about jinxes, oh yes it did.

When she's not writing, recording, or coaching, Kate sits on several boards for local community projects, is the president of

“This is wine," Ghoolion said solemnly. "Wine is drinkable sunlight. It's the most glorious summer's day imaginable, captured in a bottle. Wine can be a melody in a cut-glass goblet, but it can also be a cacophony in a dirty tumbler, or a rainy autumn night, or a funeral march that scorches your tongue.”

Jacob Thanks for adding me! I was going to play it safe and say Insects Maybe?, so as not to offend, but I'm glad to see you're strictly on the Yay side.

Traveller Hi! I appreciate your overlooking my uncharitable attitude towards certain insects.

It would be nice if one day, when both of us have the time, we could have a nice Gene Wolfe chat.

..not that GW is the only subject under potential discussion, mind. ..but your comments re Cerberus and BOTNS is what drew my attention initially. Which reminds me that still need to write some decent reviews on those.

Kate Sherrod I am planning to, actually. I was fascinated with that stuff even before I encountered PKD because of Umberto Eco, so yowza! And yeah, probably dead tree, because I can't accept a $17.99 Kindle price.

sj Are you planning on reading this? I want to read it, but the annotations and footnotes seem daunting on the reader. It seems like it should be a treebook book, but I don't know if I have the wherewithal for a treebook right now. I was hoping you might give it a shot and let me know what you think. ;)
