Jewelze was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She began writing in 1996 for her own personal enjoyment. Armed with the ability and drive, Jewelze decided to pursue writing as a career. Her goal is to create literature that will take adult readers inside the minds of her characters. Along with the characters, readers will experience battles with internal and external forces as well as celebrate their triumphs. Jewelze earned a B.S. degree in Psychology from Virginia State University and a M.A. degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology. Her Debut Novel Emotional Ties will be gracing bookshelves everywhere fall 2011.
