Liam James was born upon Manderley, the country estate, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seventy-seven. The seventh child -first of the brood to be of male persuasion- he struggled immensely in academics but found a penchant for poetry, penning his 1,234th Petrarchan Sonnet by the age of seven. According to classmates, he was often truculent with professors -his favorite contention being he invented the exclamation mark, and as such, he should have free rein to use them wherever he wanted! He later became a Rhodes scholar, but attended Oxford only for five months, always donned in a pink suit.

Although Abe North has advocated a "group theory" regarding James’ authorship with one Dr. Diver as the "master mind”, there is no eviden

Free Book Promotion 3/02 - 3/06!

Hey friends, I've put together a little Free Book Promotion for A Light in the House: Joe's Journey. It’s rather unique as it emulates the style of 19th and 20th century classic authors while including fantastic and romantic, dare I say, erotic elements. Arguably, one could even call it paranormal, indeed, a work of horror!

Free Promotion will begin Monday 3/02 at 3am EST and run till Friday 3/06! Read more of this blog post »

emma added a status update: the term literary romance combines all my favorite things about reading: happy feelings, beautiful writing, great characters, relationships i'm invested in, complex themes. so i made a guide to my new favorite made-up subgenre.

" Well, you should read Liam James. "
Liam James is 65% done with Orlando: “For, Heaven knows why, just as we have lost faith in human intercourse some random collocation of barns and trees or a haystack and a waggon presents us with so perfect a symbol of what is unattainable that we begin the search again.” I’ll be sure to add this, next time I’m on a desktop.

I love this story. It depresses me but I love it. I love the way it's written. You can really hear those wagon wheels grunting up the river road. You can see Elisa's face; I'm not sure if you've ever seen Jaws, but Elisa is a ringer for Alex Kintner' ...more

It was good. Wild at times. Though it didn't provide enough character development to really feel for Gordon and his tragedy. It was certainly a tragedy though, in every sense of the word, but for a story to really resonate with me, I want to experien ...more

“I don’t know, perhaps I’m the perfect example of modern man, completely void of masculinity, instincts, or conviction left with nothing but a general fear of life itself, at anything that suggests even a hint of change or uncertainty.”

the days are getting colder and i have finally accepted it’s fall. school has started up again and my activity on grs has lessen. even so seeing everyones reviews, progress, and comments have made my days so much warmer. i swear time has been slipping past me it’s already september!

anyways, I just wanted to wish you all a happy new month! i hope despite everyone's busy schedule we are all finding time to wind down, maybe pick up a book or take a long-deserved nap. let's make september a time of rejuvenation and self-preparation. holidays are just around the corner and i know once i get caught up in the festive storm i lose myself lol!

i'm going on a small hiatus just so i can adjust to school a little more but until that ends...drink your fall flavored drinks, watch scary movies, and try something new for a change.
