'Who the hell are you?' said Jim to the shadowy figure standing in the hallway in front of him.
'I was going to ask the same thing,' said the shadow.
'I'm Jim. I'm just walking around. You gave me a shock! I thought I was alone.'
I'm Jo. I hang out in this place. You gave me a shock as well!'
'So you live in this rat infested dump?'
'I do indeed,' said Jo. 'It's not a bad place. Keeps the rain o Read more of this blog post »

T.H. White
“The best thing for being sad," replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, "is to learn something. That's the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.”
T.H. White, The Once and Future King

J.R.R. Tolkien
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Oscar Wilde
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde
“I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.”
Oscar Wilde, The Happy Prince and Other Stories

Oscar Wilde
“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.”
Oscar Wilde
