I was born In Austria during World War II, emigrated to the United States in 1951 and have lived here since then. I recently retired from my profession of child, adolescent and adult psychiatry and acupuncture and meditation.
During my life I have had a strong interest in Western and Eastern cultures and ways of thinking.

If your son or daughter is gay

If your son or daughter can tell you as parents that he or she is gay, that is who they are. Keep in mind that it may be as hard for an adolescent or young adult to tell you about their sexual orientation as it is for you to hear it. Having a gay lifestyle brings with it many challenges in a society that is divided over acceptance. Gay people are treated as second class citizens, losing many ri
