R.L. Carpentier is a 18 year law enforcement professional utilizing his career to populate the world of his small town crime procedurals. He has experience in regular patrol, fraud and computer forensic investigations, and as a first line supervisor. R.L. is an avid hiker and has achieved personal records completing the Catskill Mountain 3500s and the 24 mile Catskill Escarpment in a single day. His love of the mountains set a back drop for his debut mystery novel, Our Lady of the Overlook.
