Odete Costa Semedo

Maria Odete da Costa Soares Semedo (1959) was born in Bissau. Degree in Literature from the University of Lisbon. She teaches at the college of Bissau in teacher education (Ecole Normale Supérieure Tchico Té), and collaborating professor at the University Boe Hills, also in Bissau. Was Minister for Education and President of the National Commission for UNESCO, Bissau. Senior Researcher of the National Institute of Studies and Research, INEP-Bissau was recently Health Minister in her country. It has several articles published in several literary anthologies, newspapers and journals in Guinea-Bissau and abroad.
