Virginia Woolf
“Money dignifies what is frivolous if unpaid for.”
Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own

Virginia Woolf
“For books continue each other, in spite of our habit of judging them separately.”
Virginia Woolf, A Room of One's Own and Three Guineas

Virginia Woolf
“It would be a thousand pities if women wrote like men, or lived like men, or looked like men, for if two sexes are quite inadequate, considering the vastness and variety of the world, how should we manage with one only? Ought not education to bring out and fortify the differences rather than the similarities?”
Virginia Woolf

Theodore Roosevelt
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Theodore Roosevelt

Kay Wills Wyma
“Instead of communicating "I love you, so let me make life easy for you," I decided that my message needed to be something more along these lines: "I love you. I believe in you. I know what you're capable of. So I'm going to make you work.”
Kay Wills Wyma, Cleaning House: A Mom's Twelve-Month Experiment to Rid Her Home of Youth Entitlement
