Neriman Cahit 1937'de Girne'nin Pinarlı köyünde doğdu.
Kıbrıs Öğretmen Koleji'ni bitirdikten sonra başladığı ilkokul öğretmenliğini emekli olana dek sürdürürken bir yandan da gazetelerde şiirleri, makaleleri, araş-tırma-inceleme yazıları, röportajları yayımlandı.
Kadın haklarını savunanların öncülerindendir. Gazetecilik uğraşıyla şiir macerasını günümüzde de
