Rachel Marie Patterson is the co-founder and editor of Radar Poetry. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from UNC Greensboro and studied in the Ph.D. program in Creative Writing at the University of Missouri. She is the author of the poetry collection Tall Grass With Violence (FutureCycle, 2022) and the chapbook If I Am Burning (MSR, 2011).

Rachel’s poems appear or will soon appear in Harpur Palate, Cimarron Review, Valparaiso Poetry Review, Smartish Pace, Parcel, The Journal, Thrush, Nashville Review, Redivider, and many other journals. She won an Academy of American Poets Prize in 2012, and in 2019, she received a Special Mention for the Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has also been nominated for Best of the Net and Best New Poets.
