One of my favourite books as a child, and I still prefer it over most of Alcott's other books. She tends to preach quite awfully in her books, but there's not too much of that in this one, and what there is comes natural. It's a very sweet story and

Fascinating book! Time-travel always appeals to me, and Ben Elton managed to deliver a book somewhat similar to 11.22.63 by Stephen King, but with twists and turns that were entirely its own. It took a few chapters to get into it, but once I did I lov ...more |

A 4.5 star review. This was just sweet! A rather unusual slow-burn, in that the main characters start hooking up pretty much right away, but it takes quite awhile for them to start to admit they've caught feelings ... even to themselves. As two high- ...more |

Hendes senere bøger er heldigvis meget bedre, så vi må krydse fingre for at de også bliver oversat :-) " |

| Ridiculously short chapters and about 70% of them ended with some sort of cliffhanger. Something like having "I don't believe what I'm looking at!" as the very last sentence. Since they were all resolved in the next few chapters, it didn't really bot ...more | |

“Fiordland, a vast tract of mountainous terrain that occupies the south-west corner of South Island, New Zealand, is one of the most astounding pieces of land anywhere on God's earth, and one's first impulse, standing on a cliff top surveying it all, is simply to burst into spontaneous applause.”

Your interests and favorites do seem right up there with mine. I do love the Barenstein Bears. These new ones are especially fabulous by the son of the original authors Mark Barenstein. They are all directly Christian messages. They are just great.
Excellent! Thank you :) I can't wait to read it. The author sounds familiar... I'll have to see if I've read anything else by her or am just mixing her up with somebody else.I think I'll like it too - we tend to share tastes otherwise, so I think it's a relatively safe bet :)
Hi, I'm mailing you that book today, Thunderwith by Libby Hathorn (it finally arrived yay!) - let me know when you get it so I know it didn't get lost in the mail! I hope you enjoy it, it's one of my favourites and also one of the first books I ever owned, so it has extra sentimental value (it was a surprise buy from my mum who knew how much I loved it. She didn't often do things like that. Couldn't afford to. So it was doubly sweet). If you don't like it, well, we'll never be friends again! Ha no not really, but I think you'll like it.
