IGNACIO GARCÍA PEREDA nasceu em 1980. É licenciado em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Politécnica de Madrid, com pós-graduação em Política Florestal Internacional pela École Nationale du Génie Rural des Eaux et des Forêts de Montpellier, França. É doutorado em História e Filosofia da Ciência, pela Universidade de Évora (2018), com a tese Experts florestais na Europa do Sul: os primeiros silvicultores em Portugal. É investigador integrado do Instituto de História Contemporânea da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (IHC-FCSH/UNL), no grupo «Economia, Sociedade, Património e Inovação».
