Living in Louisville, Ky., Karson Dickinson has a BFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University, and she plans to one day get her MFA. In her free time, she cuddles her five rescue pets (one American Bully, and four cats!), and hosts two book clubs. Literature is her life, and she hopes to make even a small amount of change with her own writing.

5 stars. what an amazing way to start the year. I LOVED this book so much. it was emotionally rich, and the suspense was perfect. i will read anything alex north writes!

1 star. DNF. the writing was god awful, and within 100 pages i absolutely despised the main character. IDIOT ASSASSIN. she walked into three traps… aelin would never.

2.5 stars. this book was okay. scottie did out of character stuff to move the plot forward which pissed me off.

3.5 stars. not bad but i was annoyed at some parts because the seriousness of this competition was so unrealistic but it was cute enough to look past

5 stars. this was so cute and fun to read! definitely have to use your suspension of disbelief, but it was a fun read

5 stars. screaming crying throwing up. i have never read anything that so perfectly describes loving someone more than you have ever loved yourself, loving them so much you will let them go. so relatable and painful and beautiful.

3 stars. i listened to the audio book during a very stressful time so i feel as though i should reread it, but this story couldn’t keep my attention. i liked the ending but i feel like it wasn’t what i wanted it to be overall.
