About the author
Mike Herr has written many plays, screenplays, short stories, and poems, and the three books of the Artemis Starfighter Academy Series. He lives in Sacramento, California, with his wife and two daughters. Besides writing, he worked as a substitute teacher and assisted people with disabilities in finding and keeping good paying jobs. He currently works to maintain and improve the foster care system with the goal of keeping children in need with safe and caring relatives. His current favorite book is The Book of the New Sun. Some of his favorite books as a kid were The Chronicles of Narnia, The Black Cauldron, The Castle in the Attic, and Ishi in Two Worlds.
