I think it is fitting to talk about this given that it has been nearly a year since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was, apparently, close to killing myself with food. I felt pressure in my chest almost all the time, felt ravenously hungry, and since I was losing weight at a steady twenty pounds a year, I saw nothing wrong. Why does this matter?
