Armed with a newly minted doctorate degree in Psychology from Kent State in northeast
Ohio, Alice Licata spent years in Charlottesville,Virginia walking the halls of academia and offering her psychological expertise to the community there before turning her energies toward another passion: raising her two daughters. Inspired, she wrote It’s Not Rocket Science: Down-to-Earth Advice on Raising Stellar Kids, hoping to empower other parents. When her girls were fully launched, one into the acting world and the other into medicine, she returned to teaching—this time, grades 6-12.
