Sergi Álvarez nació en 1975, en Suiza, en pleno mes de febrero. Decidió hacerlo en San Valentín porque aún nonato se consideraba un romántico.

Desde pequeño mostró una tendencia patológica a mezclar la realidad con la fantasía y siempre fue un niño rarito, con tendencia a la gordura, y que leía demasiado.

Como escritor de relatos se ha presentado a muchos concursos y ha ganado alguno. Como guionista de cómic ha publicado un buen puñado de historietas, varios cómic-books (Los fisgones, Stoerkodder) y la novela gráfica Bajo la piel (Astiberri). Ha colaborado con diversas revistas digitales y también mantiene un blog en coma asistido, donde se pueden descargar gratuitamente muchos de sus cuentos: El murciélago rojo.
