Helen Douglas-Cooper is an artist, editor and writer based in London. She works with observed details in her surroundings, especially light, reflections, and overlooked fragments of everyday life. Memory often delays when a motif enters her work. Her paintings develop through layering, arranging, and obscuring forms, using saturated and muted colour to build shifting structures and a sense of light and familiarity. She studied at Heatherleys, Slade Summer School, Central Saint Martins, and New Richmond School of Art, and has exhibited across London, widely exhibited.
