Noelle Cook is an ethnographer and storyteller who investigates how extremism, conspiracy theories, and disinformation reshape lives and society. She is the author of The Conspiracists: Women, Extremism, and the Lure of Belonging (Broadleaf Books, 2026) and Associate Producer of The Conspiracists, a feature documentary based on the same five years of immersive research. Through her work, Cook examines the cultural, emotional, and generational forces that have drawn ordinary Americans—especially middle-aged white women—into the orbit of conspiratorial thinking, using empathy to understand how belonging, identity, and disillusionment intersect where conspiracy and extremism collide.
