First read this book more than thirty-six years ago, and I'm amazed how differently I feel about it now. Perhaps it isn't a good thing to go back?

Hi Cynder and thank you so much for your very kind message. So glad you liked the books. As for Drake's name. I had a scene about it in a prequel I was working on called "Drake's Progress" - he was about Will's age in it and surrounded by the misfits

“Just who the blazes are you?” he demanded. “You haven’t told us.” “Ever heard of the Illuminati?” Drake said.”

OMG! Really! I loved Spiral and I can't wait to see how this whole adventure ends. How long do we have to wait for the release?
AnnieB wrote: "im rereading the harry potter books...gosh this is gonna take forever. Why are they all so dang long? But then again all the good series are long. Like tunnels! :D"The longer a good thing lasts (like Tunnels), the better in my opinion :D.

As regards casting, I bet the producers will be looking for young actors for the main parts, but all I can suggest is that you try to send something through to Relativity Media. You can google their website. Sorry I can't help with this! Roderick
Hi Silverwolf, and the answer is that there are some "hotspots" where the combination of the radioactivity and rock under pressure drives up the temperature (it's discussed in Deeper), but there is certainly no molten core at the centre of the planet!
Oooh... here's a question for you Roderick:If the world is hollow in Tunnels, how do you explain geothermal heat?
AnnieB wrote: "oh, and unlike you and your family silverwolf, it's only my dad and I who are really passionate about reading. So only me and him have read the tunnels books. (at least the ones ive read so far)..."
OK :D
AnnieB wrote: "Hehe... mum. I bet mom to you sounds all hill billy and american to you guys... I feel so different"Ah.. we're not so different. Don't worry about it.

I really don't like it when your waiting on a movie, and the directors think that they can spend all the time they need and just diddle around when SO many people are waiting on them.
LOLZ, about them not breathing part.
That's reassuring that it will at least look like London. Wouldn't it be easier just to film it there though.
I could try out, but one problem...i kind of suck at asking... i mean not Miley Cirus bad...but pretty bad.
Hi Roderick, trust me when I say that Silverwolf would be the perfect candidate to play Rebecca. We are all passionate fans of the Tunnels series and she is a very talented actress. I realise I am biased, however if you met her, you would see what I mean!!Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the final chapter.
Love,
- Silverwolf's Mum
Uhh... me again (Silverwolf). Sorry about that, just to clarify: not my idea. She may be embarassing (blush, blush), but she is right. Heheh.
Hi AnnieB! Relativity Media haven't actually got the cameras rolling yet but we're told that the project may go into preproduction soon - they've been working on it for such a long time that I'm not holding my breath any longer (makes it very difficult to write when you're not breathing). And it may be shot in the US, but we've been assured that the sets will look like England ...
I found this on tunnelsthebook.com...A movie of the first book is currently being developed by Relativity Media in the US. News of how it's progressing will eventually be posted here.
Did you know the lord of the rings was filmed in new zealand? and i think that was an american movie...but i could be wrong. ok, random fact over.
Silverwolf wrote: "Well... I'm not quite as Mortisha-esque (Addams Family referance) as Rebbecca, but I'm sure with a little make-up, I wouldn't be far off. Also, I just remembered, I think it was an american company..."Calm down. It's all ok. Even if an american company does do it, they probably will still film in the UK.
Beth wrote: "spiral was epic! why does Eddie keep getting beaten up? its not fair, its always my fave characters that get beaten up. still spiral was REALLY good. what are the styx planing in the next book? any..."Because Eddie is a styx, and everyone blames him for the stuff that his people have done (also, he killed - or at least helped to kill - Fiona). But yah, he is cool :).
spiral was epic! why does Eddie keep getting beaten up? its not fair, its always my fave characters that get beaten up. still spiral was REALLY good. what are the styx planing in the next book? any news about the film? sure the 6th book will be brill :-)
Well... I'm not quite as Mortisha-esque (Addams Family referance) as Rebbecca, but I'm sure with a little make-up, I wouldn't be far off. Also, I just remembered, I think it was an american company that bought the movie rights, so they could be doing it out there... :( (NOOO!!)
Aww... such a shame. Sorry, Anne. I probably won't anyway, but I am determined. Could u imagine me as Rebbecca? (*does a quiet evil laugh and pulls scary face* boy sitting next to me pulls worried face & shifts over a little* - joke). LOL.
Ya, but i like will's personality more. Oh, finished freefall BTW. Total coolness! OMG! SO AWESOME!(I can't believe how american that sounded. HA!)
I hope that Will or Chester finds love in the last book - and a good match too. Preferabley Chester - as he deserves it (not that Will doesn't) but Chester had no real reason to follow Will: he was just being loyal. He deserves a reward, no?
I loved how you said at the end "For the last few moments of Sarah's life, she was smiling," that was SO cool, because of how her whole life she had been worrying and hiding. And two rebecca's!! I was like "woah!" it would be so confusing since they are both named rebecca. If i had a twin like that, i would feel like i could never be my own person, you know?
Anne, so pleased you enjoyed it. The ending was a little bleak but it was how I felt at the time. Sarah's death affected me much more than Cal's because I identified so closely with her. And Silverwolf, the non-Tunnels book hasn't got a publisher yet. I've just changed to a new literary agent so everything's been up in the air for a while and, who knows, maybe I'll never find anyone who wants to release it. It's quite an odd story ...
Heheh... I guess it would be less fun if we could control our imagination :). So has the new book been published yet, or are you gonna put us through more suspense :D?
Ha ya, im in the middle of Deeper right now. LOVE IT! only feedback is that it's going kind of slow. But that's it.
I finished a non-Tunnels book in Februaryand couldn't believe how quickly the words were landing on the page. I suppose that's because I've been thinking about the story for so long. But now I'm trying to get into gear on T6, and the writing is painfully slow. I wish this was something I could control!
Silverwolf wrote: "Aww.. I'm feeling like a ghost in this conversation/thread... making sounds, but not being heard <:(."Sorry, Silverwolf, have been working on the new book - I have to try to cut off a bit.
