Great book, certainly explains our times. I read two books by Turchin, one highly academic, this one was written for the masses. If you want to understand our times, read this book.

Had to revisit this classic. Absolutely delightful writing, amazing how such whimsy can hold so much gravity. Best of all, my younger son wants to read it.
