1978 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. Çocukluğu ve ilk gençlik yılları Büyükada'da geçti. İstanbul Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Gazetecilik Bölümünden mezun oldu. Bir süre Radikal Cumartesi ve Radikal İki'de çalıştı, Radikal Kitap Eki'nin editörlüğünü yaptı. Daha sonra Referans, Birgün, Taraf gibi gazetelerin kültür/sanat sayfaları için kitap/edebiyat sayfaları ve edebiyat köşeleri hazırladı.
