It's waaay more fun listening. My opinion that I am teetering towards stating it as a fact.🤣 My getting lost in following had zero to do with the writer but everything to do with me being distracted while listening.

WHAT I LOVED: The books conversational approach to storytelling. As a reader you are brought along the journey. I love how the main character happens to be a writer and you are with him as he writes THIS book. It will make sense when you read it or listen. Again, audio is amazing. I can't imagine what the print version looks like. If you listen, you will see what I mean. I didn’t know you could do what he did. Ok enough of that.

I was pleasingly shocked. I felt like a friend was telling me about some wild family dealings. Not sure if calling it a cheeky approach at novel writing is appropriate, but I do suspect readers may not like the style. I thought it was brilliant and ... okay CUTE! There, I said it!

Anyone not being able to follow along, should not blame the writer. Many of us have a problem with focusing, which is why many find geometry or trigonometry hard and fail it. Do they still teach trigonometry in schools or has it gone out the window with cursive writing?😂

The characters, the mystery, and the oh sh$% moment at the end, when the crime was solved was not bad at all. The killer, I thought I had figured out definitely was not the killer, instead that took me by surprise. I really liked the main character telling the story. His personality... now he was cheeky.😂

It was so worth listening to. It is in the library, if you do not want to buy. I have Libby so put myself on the wait list. Three days later, I snagged it.. This is a "meh" review because I do not want to mess around and drop a spoiler.

BOTTOM LINE: If you like crime, mystery and with a touch of humor, you will like this. It is NOT a waste of time. I repeat NOT a waste of time. Excuse any typos. I am rushing.😘 ...more
