Michitarō Tada (多田道太郎, 2/12/1924 - 2/12/2007) fue un pensador japonés a quien se lo reconoce como un pionero de los estudios culturales en su país. Se graduó en la Universidad de Kioto en 1949, especializándose en literatura francesa. Pronto ingresó en el Instituto para Estudios Humanísticos, donde los pensadores más innovadores promovían un trabajo interdisciplinar.

Tada se destacó por sus lúcidos tratados sobre el pensamiento francés y también por el aporte de nuevas perspectivas sobre las artes tradicionales japonesas, en especial la poesía clásica haiku.
