Arkansas native, Melissa M. Frye, is a writer and poet who has spent the majority of her adult life studying the writing craft. She started with book reviews for AOL, but her first real writing gig was a weekly movie review column in the local newspaper.

Since then, she’s won the Poet Laureate Award from the Ozark Creative Writers Conference and placed second for the Sharp Award during the PRA Poetry Day celebrations.

Melissa now uses her life experiences to craft realistic fiction novels. Though she loves to laugh, her stories tend to show the darker side of life. What else should one expect from a writer who battles depression?

Melissa Frye Hi Margaret, I look forward to sharing book recommendations. :)

Margaret Chind Hi Missy, thanks for the friend add. Always glad to know more people who like things I like. *grin*

Melissa Frye Hi Michelle,

Right now, fantasy is my favorite genre. I like everything though. Biographies, romance, thrillers, mystery and teen fiction all appeal to me; it's my mood that determines what I pick up at any given time.

Michelle What are your favorite types of books to read?
