He also a big nerd (pop culture, video games, comics, as well as science (including sci-fi) and it definitely shows in his work.

When he is not writing, Luis lives in the Seattle area with his dog and is an avid reader, partaking in so many hobbies (ADHD), and traveling.

Like most books this is way better than the movie. I saw the movie first and this still felt like a different world in most ways. They don't skimp in the science bit either. I really like The Martian for that reason and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed ...more

It was informative, solutions-focused and made me turn my attention to what content I am watching. It's a hefty book though, like damn!"
