Hey Vidya! I can't find how I can send you a private message, so I'll do it this way. I did give up on that email account because of it being flooded by annoying mail every day.
I started reading Book 2 when you sent it to me, because as you can read in my review for Book 1, I was quite enthusiastic to start with it. However, I rememember getting a bit bored at around 25 percent of the book, still continuing but eventually giving up and planning to start over again another time. A few weeks later, I did, but same thing again. This has happened to me quite a lot with sequels, and I think it is generally because I already know the main characters and an important part for me is getting to know them, which happens mostly in the first book. So I think that for me, the story wasn't captivating enough without having the novelty of a great main character that I hadn't already read about. It was good, but not 'wow' enough for me personally in a way.
