“I finally figured out that it doesn't matter what other people want to read. It matters what you want to write. You write the story that you would want to read, and then fans will come. If you love what you write, others will too.”
Jami Montgomery

“Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality. It's a way of understanding it.”
Lloyd Alexander

“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.”
Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt: Hitchhiking the Galaxy One Last Time

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.”
Madeleine L'Engle

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
Ernest Hemingway

message 2: by H.D.

H.D. I picked up Knight's End again today and was re-reading bits and pieces. Haha. I love when I can pick up a book and get sucked in again. :) Just wanted to drop by and say thanks again for writing a story that still resonates in my mind even after it's been a while since I read it. :P

Natalie Hey Jami, I had some downtime in a bookstore today. I discover that the Goodreads app has a bar code scanner which adds the book right to your lists! And I went a little scanning crazy. Wanted to share the info in case you weren't aware :)
