Penny Wilder is a queer human who writes and reads far too many books. She lives near Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband and four cats. Her favorite thing to do at the end of a very long day is to curl up with her tablet and read. She does bookkeeping for nonprofits by day, and by night moonlights as a blogger, artist, illustrator, actor, director, performer, and also sometimes as a business manager for a fledgling theater company. (Not all at once though, because that would be crazy!) She has spent a good deal of her life working in theater; either onstage as a performer, or backstage doing just about every job imaginable. Her love of writing dates back almost as far as her love of reading.

Sheng Wang
“A friend said to me, “Hey you need to grow a pair. Grow a pair, Bro.” It’s when someone calls you weak, but they associate it with a lack of testicles. Which is weird, because testicles are the most sensitive things in the world. If you suddenly just grew a pair, you’d be a lot more vulnerable. If you want to be tough, you should lose a pair. If you want to be real tough, you should grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding.”
Sheng Wang

“You can't say that you need to burn witches and shun gay men but eat pork and wear all the mixed fibers you want!!”
Heidi Cullinan, Nowhere Ranch

Steve Jobs
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs

T.J. Klune
“Time is a river, I've learned. Always moving forward. But for people like me, people who have loved and lost, the river is something we fight. We swim against the current, trying to get back to the way we once were, trying to hold onto anything to keep us from getting swept away. It's exhausting and eventually we tire. Still we push on.”
T.J. Klune, Into This River I Drown

“I not only use all the brains that I have, but all I can borrow.”

Penny Wilder OK guys- Cover design question for my Love Has No Boundaries short, The Best Part. J. Passaro came up with some covers for this story- I didn't think I was going to have a cover (until yesterday), but I wanted your thoughts on these- they are still being tweaked, so feedback would be much appreciated.

Here is VS #1

And here is VS #2

Not knowing anything about the story- which one makes you want to read it more?? Which one do you like best? Like I said, thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

FYI- If you are a member of the M/M Romance Group. Here is the link to the prompt: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Penny Writes Romance…. TELLING JASE, A Love Is Always Write Story

OK. I know I haven’t been blogging much in the last two months, (SORRY!) and this is the reason why. I have been writing, just not book reviews. For the first time since well, college, I sat down to write a fiction story. I spent two months slaving away, spending all the time I could outside of work on my laptop, and managed to come up with a approx 15,000 word short story. (If you don’t know what 15,000 words looks like, that’s about 30 pages in MS Word). It was an eye-opening experience for me, to say the least. I had no idea going into it how much work my little story would entail! I ate like crap, I skipped working out, and I skipped sleeping. I also managed to kill a couple pretty hardy house plants. I am so grateful to my wonderful husband who took care of me and made sure the cats got fed and the house didn’t fall apart! I have a new respect for all writers, and a better idea of how much time it could take for me to complete a longer project. I learned so much from doing this. As crazy as it was, I really enjoyed writing it, and am both nervously and excitedly awaiting my story’s release. Click HERE to read the full post: http://www.pennyreadsromance.com/penn...

Penny Wilder http://sopastrike.com/ Guys- Both the websites I run, are going dark tomorrow to protest against SOPA (in the house) and PIPA (in the senate) Online piracy is a serious issue, but these bills are not the right way to fix the problem. They have the potential to destroy the internet, and the free speech it affords us as we know it.

On Jan 24th, Congress will vote to pass internet censorship in the Senate, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill - PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House - to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity. We need internet companies to follow Reddit's lead and stand up for the web, as we internet users are doing every day. Act NOW!!!
