Vincent Casale was born in East Harlem, NY. He was raised in Queens, NY where he graduated from Hillcrest HS. In 1984 Casale became a member of the New York City Police Department. From 1989-1992 he was assigned to the department's Movie Unit, a detail where the police were to protect and assist the motion picture industry while they filmed on the streets of NY. His time in the unit, three years, is the basis for his first book, a memoir, The Coparazzi. ...more
