Witty and fun, but in this case the movie actually worked better than the book. I think it's probably the first time I've ever said that, but it's true. ...more

I only read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but I can see why it’s a classic. Creepy, but an excellent story highlighting the growing power and horror of giving in to sin.

Accessible and encouraging. I found my thoughts drawn again and again to the greatness and goodness of God by these devotions. Meditating on the character of God is truly awe-inspiring - in the best way possible!

“The best of intentions can change course over time in the chaos of a thousand daily choices, and the focus of my dreams can shift, unnoticed, from God and everything he is, to me, and everything I want for myself right now.”
Seth Lewis, Dream Small: The Secret Power of the Ordinary Christian Life

“It means that instead of driving yourself to create a legacy for your own little name, you can discover that your own little name is already known, already loved, carefully created, and never forgotten by the King of heaven himself. It means that even if the story you’re in does not go according to your plan, your meaning and purpose in life cannot be destroyed.”
Seth Lewis, Dream Small: The Secret Power of the Ordinary Christian Life

“Being able to control my living environment almost completely hasn't completed my experience of living. We can sit inside and make ourselves the right temperature and make our food the right temperature and feed our brains with all of the accumulated knowledge and funny cat videos of human civilisation, and even with all of this at our literal fingertips, we are still restless and discontented. We have mastered the world, but we haven't figured out what to do with it yet. So we watch another cat video.”
