I don't focus on the genre, I hone in on the characters. They are human after all; they have a story that begs to be told. Like any house, you have to start with a foundation. Whether it be fantasy, science fiction, or some other fictional form, my character(s) still experience life with all its mysteries, horrors, and emotional drama, however, I decide just how much by the amount of seasoning I add to the story. I bake until well done because I believe I should never serve anything but my best; nothing undercooked will do. Like my characters, I too am human so I realize I am not perfect. I am like fine wine, I strive to improve with time. Here's to mixed genre writing! Here's to Steampunk, Historical Fiction, and Genre's I have yet to create! I love what I do and do what I love! Being able to create where once there was nothing is like knowing there is always hope even when you can not see through the darkness. I will never stop.
