I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery. Several plots entwined but not confusing. Memorable characters each of them flawed which made them real. Gruesome bits but I was left feeling positive about the importance of a strong community. This is the first in ...more

Two warm hearted mysteries solved by Father Roberto and although there's a charm to them, Hartley doesn't ignore the fact that rival gangs do murder for revenge. She has a wonderful gift for story-telling which carries you along with gentle humour am ...more
