Dr. Yomb May, born in Cameroon in 1966, studied German Literature and History after graduating from RWTH Aachen and Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. After receiving his doctorate in 1998, he taught at the universities of applied sciences in Cologne and Worms. He then spent 11 years as head of the International Department and teacher at a private high school in Bavaria, before being appointed substitute professor for didactics of German language and literature at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
He then taught German and history at a private high school in Brandenburg. Dr. May habilitated in 2008 and teaches as an adjunct professor of modern German literature at the University of Bayreuth.
