Robert Brian Heffner is a poet, novelist, and artist living in Saint Augustine, Florida. Born in 1947, he grew up in the 50's under the influences of Captain Video, Hopalong Cassidy, and Felix the Cat. A lover of adventure and literature all of his life, he was inspired by authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson, Victor Hugo, and John Steinbeck. After graduating with a degree in English and Journalism from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, he moved to Florida where he taught high school composition and literature. Retiring from the classroom after 30 years, he began writing poetry and novels of his own creation.
