Andrea Kayne
“Gloria watched the swollen white orb of a hot-air balloon rising over Navy Pier and knew she had to break it off with Oliver, for he was the type who would never enjoy hot-air balloons, Van Morrison songs, or mess, whether from orgasm or otherwise. But who was she to be dreaming about mess today?”
Andrea Kayne Kaufman, Oxford Messed Up

Emma Darcy
“Things aren't always what they appear,' he said softly, yet his voice carried a grim authority. 'I've spent my life searching for the ultimate, the best. All that is rare, unique, different, special. And of all I've experienced, people are the most disappointing.”
Emma Darcy, The Unpredictable Man

Paul H. Magid
“I learned that one person hurting another really is like a hand curling into a fist to smash the foot. And that all that really matters is family and other people. And that the purpose of life is to find the Light of God, but not the light from some old guy with a beard sitting up there judging us. The light is the love we give each other on our way back home. And that God wouldn’t mind if we spent a little less time telling him how great he is and a little more time loving each other, and not just the people we’re supposed to love, but everyone.”
Paul H. Magid, Lifting the Wheel of Karma

Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla
“The path to enlightenment, to find out who you truly are, has to be taken alone.”
Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla, The Two Krishnas: A Novel

Instead of heading for a big mental breakdown, I decided to have a small breakdown
“Instead of heading for a big mental breakdown, I decided to have a small breakdown every Tuesday evening.”

Grady Good question, Stacy. Time is the factor but I'll start putting the less than 5 star reviews here. Thanks.

message 9: by Stacy

Stacy okun I am also confused by your ratings. ALL of your reads are 5 stars?? if its not, it only goes on Amazon?? Why wouldn't you post them on Goodreads as well, being that you have many followers, that would love to read your opinion on non 5 star books. I don't believe that every book you read is a 5 star book.

Christine Hatfield Good evening

Jessica thanks.
just wondering, as I don't believe I've ever seen anything less than a 5-star review from you.

message 6: by Grady

Grady I give my opinion that can range from 1 star to 5 stars. If I commit to a book then I become involved with it and usually have a love affair with it while I'm reading it. If not, I either discard it or finish it and point out why it didn't work for me with fewer stars. These I rarely post on Goodreads, just Amazon. Doubt that answers your question, but...

Jessica do you give only 5 stars?

or only review 5 star books?

just wondered--

Jessica
