E.M. Bancroft is a queer writer, poet and visual artist based in Magandjin (Brisbane), Australia. Having been a big fan of horror from a young age, Bancroft enjoys experimenting with the genre and combining it with elements of the gothic and the absurd. When not writing, they can be found haunting local cinemas, book stores, and art galleries.

Bancroft is a former editor of Semper Floreat, an independent student newspaper from the University of Queensland Union, and is the creator of the zine publication Lapsus Calami. Other smaller works can be found in Sprig Magazine and other indie magazines and zines throughout Magandjin.
