Finn J.D. Thanks Veronica! I read everything of Lieber's I could get my hands on when I was in high school. He and Zelanzy were my favorites for a while. Never really got into any of the Azimov-class mid-century sci-fi; I've been trying to remedy the omission, but it's turning out to be harder to get into than I expected. :-P

Bernie Finn, I'm glad to see you are reading, or want to read, Asimov and Fritz Leiber. I also notice a neat little tome called WICKED PORTLAND on your list. Written by a nice guy I know.

Two stars, huh. Why so many?"

Hi Veronica! Yeah, I dunno. Two stars seemed right. The whole book appears to be a narrative con job, a colossal exercise in straw-man argumentation extrapolated to an entire fictional world -- but it's skillfully done, so that's something! :-D
