Ashley Nee was born abroad in 1987 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She lived in New York until she was nine, and then moved to Leavenworth, Kansas. This is where she met her husband and they now live in Central Wisconsin. She has three children, and is a full time college student. Aside from writing she enjoys reading many different genres of books, and music.

Her first published work is a poetry collection, Through the Dark (2012).
