Steve Tom spent a little over 20 years in the USAF, a little over 20 years working in private industry, and more years than he cares to count writing - both as a hobby and professionally. He has written dozens of professional engineering articles which are too boring to read today, contributed to two textbooks which are equally boring, and has written interesting articles and short stories for magazines such as Stymie, British Motoring, and Over the Front. He has also written three books to date: Flaming Floorboards, First to Fight, and his newest book, The Aviator.
