writer of flash fiction, short stories and novels, and mother of four from Bray, Co. Wicklow. I’ve worked as a technical writer and have degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies. My short fiction has appeared in the Sunday Tribune, Crannóg, The View from Here, Metazen and in many anthologies including the Higgs Boson, Voices of Angels, and UK National Flash Fiction Day’s Jawbreakers. I’ve been shortlisted for Hennessy New Irish Writing and for the Bridport, WOW, and Fish Award. This year I won the Big Book of Hope Ebook fiction category with my flash fiction medley Flashes of Entropy and Hope and was awarded a writing residency in Cill Rialaig, Co. Kerry to work on The Exhibit of Held Breaths.

Orienting toward optimism and optimism gift sets

As the dust settles on book launches and as I start work back in the Lexicon library in Dun Laoghaire in a new role, plans are also afoot for a Creative Resilience course online in the new year. This course will provide a variety of ideas and techniques for creative optimism and persistence through some helpful neuroscience, mindfulness and other motivational techniques.
