Natural Sciences have always fascinated me, so I didn't object when my father recommended that I make science my career; he felt that it was a relatively secure profession. After gaining my PhD in Physics, my family and I emigrated from England to Colorado. Then, after a few years, we moved to Texas where I attended and graduated from Hill Country Bible College in San Marcos. This would have surprised my agnostic father.

Full time ministry, however, was not my calling, and I continued to pursue a career in science and engineering until I retired. As a Christian, I had not felt compelled to understand the full meaning of Genesis until friends and family challenged my belief in creation.
