Fran studied Journalism at degree level then rediscovered creative writing, a passion of her childhood, after the birth of her second child.

Following a year of prolific output she turned her efforts towards becoming a professional writer and turned her hand to many short stories, her first was published in Tales of the Nun & Dragon (Fox Spirit). One of the earliest grew into Book One of Where Dead Gods Lie Buried – a series she is co-authoring with a fellow writer, David Murray.

Fran lives in Surrey with her husband, daughter and son. She enjoys fantasy role playing games, practices western martial arts (sidesword and buckler, rapier and dagger) and is fluent in Italian.

Eleven of us attended on Saturday for a very energetic and fun session including case of swords, longsword, smallsword, sidesword, sabre, and sidesword & buckler.
