JB Lazarte delights in cleverly written stories that deeply move people and compel them to rethink the things they take for granted. A recipient of a Free Press Grand Literary Award, his poems, stories and essays have appeared in various publications, including Playboy, Graphic and Philippine Star.

He loves experimenting with various genres. His latest book, 'Dream Boy', is a YA fantasy cross-over novel with a strong anti-bullying theme that will emotionally resonate not only with teenage readers, but also with people of all ages.

He is currently at work on his next book, which he describes as a "total mind-f@ck."
