Jon thinks a lot about the future and as a newly published author, he hopes to turn that day dreaming into a career. Although he originally sought a life in the service of his counties military, fate ultimately conspired to push him in another direction.

The subtle hint came in the form of Ulcerative Colitis, Graves Disease, a liver transplant due to Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, and finally Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. These are just the highlights of a near decade long struggle with various health issues, anyone of which on its own could have killed Jon.
