If you go there click on the 'Article' tab and see where I got the seed for the book. There is stuff in the article about the Texas 'homefront' during the era. Ike Malone became Ike Burns in the book and he is my great great granddaddy.

Hi Kathrine,I write to you here after seeing your post in civil war fiction. It's kind of a spam :(
I have two 'battle scenes' in my book but it's really about how the characters struggle in their situations and with each other. If you click on my book's amazon page, then on the 'look inside' they post the first 3 chapters (or at least they did the last time I looked at it).
It's no Cold Mountain - but it might catch your interest. If it does not, that's okay. If it does I send you a pdf free.
