Every day I wake up and ask myself, "Is this a hard day or an easy day?" I have my own criteria for what "hard" and "easy" means, but the root of what I mean is, "am I going to allow my own anxieties to dominate me or not?" I've found that my easier ...more

“Laugh at failure. Emotions have a way of getting way too upset about the fails. (I'll be addressing how to deal with fails later in the book.) An adult who is driven by a fear of failure will never have enough drive to meet their goals.”
Katharine Grubb, When The Timer Dings: Organizing Your Life To Make The Most of 10 Minute Increments

“I found that the experts in time management all agree that it's not time, nor lack of time, that's the problem. It's a misalignment of priorities or a misunderstanding of what matters. It could be a lack of depth on the part of the doer, a lack of inner character, or a neglect to pursue inner goals that really matter.”
Katharine Grubb, When The Timer Dings: Organizing Your Life To Make The Most of 10 Minute Increments

“In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”
Jane Austen, Pride And Prejudice

“To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

“We all know him to be a proud, unpleasant sort of man; but this would be nothing if you really liked him.”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

“I have faults enough, but they are not, I hope, of understanding. My temper I dare not vouch for. It is, I believe, too little yielding— certainly too little for the convenience of the world. I cannot forget the follies and vices of other so soon as I ought, nor their offenses against myself. My feelings are not puffed about with every attempt to move them. My temper would perhaps be called resentful. My good opinion once lost, is lost forever.”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

“A girl likes to be crossed a little in love now and then.
It is something to think of”
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Promod Sharma Thanks for connecting. 45 years ago when I was studying Engineering,we were four friend; each read a different book and discussed it with rest of the three. The end result was that each had read four books instead of one. Today, I thought of repeating the same experiment. I am prepared to discuss any one or both of my books,"Mahatma A Scientist of the Intuitively Obvious" and "In Search of our Wonderful Words". If you are interested please suggest one or two of your books, Fiction or Humor or both. No romance, no ghost stories and no fantasy please. I hardly have time to read as I give time to study of scriptures in depth. We will share links of each others blogs on the books and/or answer each other's questions. We may share a few pages or extracts. That will be a new way of reviewing. I will make similar offer to four more authors. Are you interested in carrying out this experiment with me? If it does not suit you, please unhesitatingly say "NO". Regards.

Christine Hatfield Thanks for being my friend
