Howard Male was born in Cambridge, England and currently lives in deepest south London. He has been a painter, a rock musician (https://soundcloud.com/#h-i-male ) and, in more recent years, a music and arts critic for UK publications The Independent, The Arts Desk (http://www.theartsdesk.com/users/howa...), Songlines and the now sadly defunct The Word (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/music...).
