Dabney Hedegard is a writer, speaker and (retired) professional patient. At age 25, while 6 weeks pregnant, Dabney was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Her decision to keep her child marked the beginning of a decade-long battle against cancers, pulmonary embolisms, Cardiomyopathy,and 7 other life-threatening illnesses.

In addition to writing for The Good News Newspaper, Dabney is active in social media and a frequent speaker at local churches, MOPS groups, women’s conferences and crisis pregnancy centers.

She is married to her husband, Jason, and is the mother of four children: Madison, Ansley, Asher, and Sabal. The Hedegards live in South Florida, and attend Calvary Church in Jupiter. ...more

I’ve been sick a good portion of my life.
