I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated from Cleveland South High School. I then completed my BA and M.Ed. at Kent State University. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I taught in the Akron Public Schools for 35 years; teaching Public Speaking and English. I worked full time at The University of Akron as a liaison for the College of Education. I am married to Michael Baltrinic, a retired science teacher. I have two grown sons: Mike, an enviornmental scienctist; Mark, who is in customer service, but aspires to be a writer. My interests are writing (obviously!) geneology, decorating, and learning!

I am hoping that I can blog with people who are into historic fiction, or those who love books set during the Revolutinary War. I just wrote a novel and I really need some folks to read it and give it a review. sor far I have two reviews posted, and I am pretty excited about that. “She was certain I would make the same mistakes she did and I believe she waited with great expectations that I fail. When I did not, she openly showered me with negative commentary that I “thought I was better than her.” At some point in my adult life I realized she was jealous of who I was becoming, feeling she had been robbed of that opportunity for herself. She never allowed herself to truly feel pride in what I was able to achieve, or encourage me to reach for the stars she was unable to touch. I am thankful that I developed a resilient personality and did not repeat the mistakes she had made, or worse.”

“A child believes what she is told by her mother. It has an impact on your self-perception.”
